It's not much, but I needed to get this off my chest.
I'm not sure what to say about the recent line of storms that have hit in the general area around my home. I'm thankful they seem to keep avoiding us, but at the same time, it saddens me at the amount of damage done to other communities. Of course, that just keeps the idea that the next one just may have my number on it.
Last night was no different. My husband and I watched the local news to find yet another storm was headed our way. The kids were in bed, so when we saw the storm was heading right for us, we loaded them up and went to my grandparent's house and ended up staying the night. The storms skirted by us once more, and as I read this morning, they did infact turn nasty.
My thoughts and prayers go to those who have lost their homes and/or friends and families in these storms. I've only experienced the edge of it and can hardly imagine what it must be like to be in the middle.

Voices in my Head?
I had the strangest thing happen to me a few weeks ago. (and I hope that this is at least somewhat normal for a writer to go through!)
I hadn't been awake long, and I was staring at the ceiling, thinking about my current story and wondering how I was going to fix a few things in it that were bothering me. Out of the blue, I heard the voice of my protagonist speaking to me. She told me how her real name was Michele, and that Clover was a nickname given to her with she was a little girl. There were other things that she told me that I quickly wrote down to add into the story at a later time.
This short moment of inspiration did help with the writing that day and for a few days afterward. I just wonder from time-to-time if this has happened to anyone else?

First Post!
This is the first blog I've started in a while, so you may have to bear with me as I ramble.
I figured it's about time that I start concentrating more on my love of writing, and what better way than to blog about the process as my story(ies) progress? I hope this becomes a fun journey for all of us, and maybe we'll all learn a thing or two as time passes along.
So, sit back and let's enjoy the ride!
